How Long Will You Stay?
If you're in Shanghai for less than six months, a short-term let is ideal. These are great for businessmen and students who are in Shanghai for a limited time period. For more than six months, more options will be available that are ideal for those planning on staying in Shanghai for an extended period of time.

Step 2: Property Proposal

Once we have a clear understanding of your requirements, JRE will provide you with a portfolio of options tailored to your specific needs. When new properties come in, we will keep you up to date via email and social media alerts. 

Step 3: House Visits

Wether after work or on the weekend, we will accommodate your schedule to ensure a smooth homefinding
process. After receiving your location and preferred times, JRE will organize private transportation for your property viewings. Our offices are open Monday to Friday but agents are available by phone and for showings seven days a week. 

Step 4: Making An Offer

After identifying a suitable property, you will be required to complete an tenancy application where special
conditions may be stated in addition to reference details. JRE will communicate these to the landlord. Negotiation and legal difficulties will be dealt with on your behalf by JRE.

Step 5:Offer Agreed & Completion

Advanced payments, the signing of the tenancy agreement and collection of your move-in payment (rent
+ deposit) will be organized regardless of wether or not your property is managed if the offers accepted.
Congrats! Now you will be given a set of keys and, if your property is managed, your PM’s contacted details will be provided.

Step 6: Pre-Check

You're almost done! JRE wants to ensure that your leasing experience is flawless so before move-in we
supervise unfinished work, organize an inspection and inventory check, provide check-in support and finally
your letter letter. Now it’s time to move in!

Step 8: Lease Expiration

Now that the duration of your lease has expired, lease renewal and departure are two options we can assist
with. Three months prior to expiration, the sales team will contact you to determine which of the two options you will continue with. If renewal if your choice, we will negotiate the best possible terms for you with the landlord and all documentation will be finalized by JRE. If you are departing, JRE will organize termination of utilities and phone lines, check-out handover, guaranteed deposit retrieval, school withdrawal and a pre inspection of the property.
