Embankment Building

With a building area of 54,000 square meters, it faces north and is designed in a modernist style. Its distinctive S-shaped design not only addresses ventilation and lighting issues but also symbolizes the initial of the English name of Nisshin Shōsō Co.

The Building was once the largest single-apartment building in Shanghai and was renowned as the "First Apartment in the Far East." Its interior decoration is sophisticated and well-equipped, primarily serving expatriates and senior staff in its early years. Today, the Building has become a popular landmark and has been featured in several popular film and television productions.
